Unique expertises and services in Ellipsometry
COATING POROSITY
Analysis of coating poro-sity (total pore volume, pore size distribution, constriction between pores, occluded and open porosity…). Such an an-alysis is performed through measuring the variation of refractive index and physical thickness versus relative vapour pressure (H2O, PrOH, Toluene). The interpretation of the associated adsorption /desorption isotherm is done using an adapted Kelvin model.
UNIQUE and SPECIFIC analyses of optical thin coatings (Antireflective coatings, TCO, antifogging, anti abrasive, hard coat, etc.) by Environmental Ellipsometry Analysis.
THERMAL ANALYSIS
Thermal Ellipsometry Analysis can be performed up to 700°C in various atmospheres (air, O2, N2, NH3, H2O). It provides the evolutions of refractive index and thickness with respect to temperature, and allows understanding thermally activated phenomena taking place during curing (decomposition, sintering, crystallisation, etc.), and optimising the curing conditions.
STABILITY
Analysis of stability of optical coating in various aging conditions (temperature, liquid phase, specific solution, vapour (humidity cycles), UV irradiation) can be performed through direct in situ monitoring of the optical properties and of the physical thickness with time.
